Welcome to money Monday, where I share my highs and lows from a week of money management.
Wise Money Management
This week I saved money by downloading some awesome free kindle books. Some weeks I make sure to grab the available books, and some weeks I don’t remember. This week I snagged a few books that are coincidentally on topics that match perfectly with recent blogging and personal goals.
Plus …I’m actually reading the books that I downloaded 🙂
Don’t smirk, I know that you do the same thing with some of those freebies! We have the best of intentions, but fail to follow through with actually consuming the material.
Not this week! I estimate that I saved at least $20-$30 on material that I would’ve eventually purchased in one form or another.
We visited the State Fair.
This is the first year in a while that I didn’t plan ahead for the day. We usually plan out our eating and entertainment. Due to a seriously crazy morning, we toured the festival without a plan of attack. Guess what? Our pocketbook paid the price.
It was fun to try out some new foods, like a chicken curry baked potato and fried potato wedges with bacon sour cream. Yum!
But …the $3 cookies for each kid (really?) and the spilled half-container of deep fried cheese curds scream to me that a plan is in order for our next great adventure.
Onward and upward!
