Welcome to money Monday, where I share my highs and lows from a week of money management.
Wise Money Management
This week we saved money by buying a new laptop battery from eBay. Our primary laptop (the one I’m using right now) is a 2012 Macbook Air. I love it. Once you go air, you can’t go back. They’re so light and easy to haul around.
We also have a 2008 Macbook that is still chugging along. Unfortunately, the battery has lost its oomph. It only works with the cable plugged in. This week the hubby ordered a new, generic, macbook battery from ebay.
We know we’re taking a bit of a risk with this generic battery, but the price is cheap enough ($30) that it’s worth a shot.We know we're taking a bit of a risk with this generic battery, but the price is cheap enough ($30) that it's worth a shot. Click To Tweet
Mismanagement. Ouch!
I recently realized that the hubs and I have gotten out of the habit of splitting meals on dates.
Last night was our first dinner date using our in-house babysitter. We took the four month old and left the rest of the crew in the charge of the 7th grader… and the TV. Not much can go wrong when everyone’s watching a movie, right?
We went to a local thai restaurant and ordered “wild boar” something or other, in honor of this past week’s amazing rescue, as well as an order of pad thai.
We could have easily split a meal and an appetizer, and maybe even indulged in a thai ice tea as well, for the same price or less.
Thai iced tea!!
Next time.
How did you manage money wisely this week?
