This week was our last official week of “summer break”. As homeschoolers are inclined to do, we slowly ease our way back into the school year over the course of several late-summer weeks.
Keeps everyone’s brains from exploding. Mostly.
Do you see what I see? It’s a ghost baby! Halloween came early, and boy was it CUTE!
Having a daughter is turning out to be lots of fun. Here we are showing off our look-alike hairdo. The high bun. Except, mine never ends up as high as I think it it when I pull it up in the morning. I’ve been sporting this bun on lazy days. ‘Cause the chick on Expedition Happiness pulled it off excellently. In other news, I have a new favorite pair of shoes: my Burkenstock Gizehs. Totally unrelated to the fact that the aforementioned gal also wore a pair of Gizehs while trekking across North America.
Clearly I am channeling my inner nomad by making nomadic purchases rather than actually selling my home and packing up my lovely horde.
Each year we go salmon fishing one time. Also each year, I tell myself that we will go much more often. That wish has yet to materialize, but we still love these trips to to the river. I console myself with the thought that “at least they are being exposed to the ‘Alaskan Life'”, even if we don’t indulge in it to the extent that others do in summertime.
What’s new with you this week?
