This week brought sunshine. And the circus (no photos, sorry). Though we haven’t been taking “Alaskan” opportunities yet this summer, we’ve been enjoying lots of free play and some fun opportunities. Fishing and four-wheeling will come next month.
This dude is nearly 4 months old. I think he’s our most talktative guy yet. But super sweet and carry-around-able. Just like I was hoping our #6 would be.
A local favorite ice cream shop opened a branch just down the road from our house. So awesome. I’m hoping to make it here with the kids at least once a week. Outdoor seating, ice cream, and awesome staff? Yes, please.
This girl has started to love drawing. This creation, in her words, is, “raindrops and sunshine, with people getting blown up by dynomite.” Ummmm…. do you have 5 brothers, or what??
Our church is going through the ten commandments. This week we looked at remembering the sabbath day by keeping it holy. I’ve gotten in the habit of creating a few quick phone backgrounds in the vein of each week’s sermon. Crazy easy, using WordSwag, and crazy helpful for remembering the sermon throughout the week.
Along with icecream, I am declaring this the “summer of the playground”. In years past, with lots of littles, it has been hard to get everyone to the playground successfully. And, I was just stinkin’ tired, if I’m being honest.
Somehow, with a middle-schooler in the mix, it just seems a whole lot easier. So, we’ll take advantage of this urge by frequenting local playgrounds until the rain sends us inside for fort-making, or outside for fishing.
P.S. – If you’re particularly eagle-eyed, you might notice that my mama toe is longer than my papa toe. You know, the way toes are supposed to be 😉
What’s new with you this week?
