Welcome to Money Monday, where I share my highs and lows from a week of money management.
Wise Money Management
This week I saved money by feeding my family from the hot case at the grocery store. Yes, I know that this totally defeats goal #2 from my goals list. However, I didn’t personally eat from the hot case. So there. I had gluten free corn dogs instead.
WHAT?!! Gluten free corndogs contain CORN?! Where were you when I needed you?
Oh well. My failure to meet that goal this week is totally on you.
At least I saved a buck by feeding the horde the last bits of what was formerly chicken strips. Plus a couple of sad-looking egg rolls.
Yes, I ignored the first rule of grocery shopping. Don’t visit the hot case at night.
I figure that those
chicken strips popcorn chicken chicken bits saved us a good 50% on what it would have cost if we had swung by the drive thru.
Four lovely, creamy, words: TOO MANY FLAT WHITES.
If you don’t know what that means, let me introduce you to the latest brilliant offering from Starbucks. Of course they didn’t invent the drink, but they’ve introduced me to its loveliness. That makes me beholden, right?
Rich shots of espresso with just the right amount of milk and foam. This little beauty blows a typical Latte out of the water. Don’t go get one.
I feel a bit like Jekyll and Hyde.
