When I stop and think through all of the ways that our family saves BIG on entertainment, I’m really grateful. We’re able to stick to our budget and enjoy this wonderful life while still paying down debt. From free bowling to cheap meals, we’re livin’ large without the large credit card bill.
Welcome to money Monday, where I share my highs and lows from a week of money management. Join in and share your highs and lows from the week.
I love hearing from you!
Wise Money Management
This week I saved money by using a RedBox code to watch the newest James Bond flick for free. I just can’t get enough of those spy movies. I can’t get enough of this recent addiction either.
Also spy-related.
What is it with this secret agent obsession? Perhaps I’m a former spy who has had her memory wiped and now lives out a peaceful existence as a stereotypical American.
Or, maybe not 😉
Though I’m likely not a secret agent in disguise, I am a huge fan of free entertainment. Especially free Redbox. I’ll tell you more about it later this week. Promise.
Mismanagement. Ouch!
Not using a discounted gift card while eating out.
I know, you’re thinking, “Don’t beat yourself up, Janeen. You still used the 25% off promotion.”
That’s true, but now that I know about the trick for getting an even better deal (by using discounted gift cards) it feels like money down the pooper when I forget to reorder the discounted cards to use throughout the month.
I’m going to rectify that tonight by making another order. My targets? Taco Bell, Subway (the kids are getting tired of Taco Bell and want to alternate with Subway for a while), and Red Robin (our date location of choice – it’s paleo friendly).
How did you manage money wisely this week?
